The Significance of Gau Seva
ISKCON Sri Mayapur Goshala is the happy home of Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Mādhava’s beloved cows. At present we maintain a herd of over three hundred and ninety cows, bulls, calves, and bullocks. These bulls and cows perform a very important service of providing milk for Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Mādhava.
Whoever feeds the cow with grass and water every day derives the benefit equivalent to performing Aśvamedha Yajña. There is nothing to doubt about this.
Go-Dharma Seva
Perform Go-puja or yajña on your birthday, anniversary, when a child is born, or in honor of a departed loved one. This seva shall be offered on your behalf with prayers for general welfare. You can also offer a sacred Go-yajña or donate a cow (Go-dāna).
Go-Sevak Seva
Become a Gosevak to support the ongoing care and welfare of our entire herd. Your donation ensures consistent care for medical purposes, repairs of sheds and bullock carts, feeding troughs, water buckets, blankets, and rope.
Adopt A Cow Seva
If you live in a place where you cannot maintain cows personally, adopt a resident cow, bull, or calf for one month, one year, or lifetime. Adoption is a sacred vow and devotional commitment that creates a spiritual legacy for your family.
Daily Feed Seva
Support our Go-Gras program to provide paddy straw, grain mix porridge, wheat bran, chickpea husks, jaggery, and fresh green grass for optimal health for our 400+ resident cows.
“Lord Kṛṣṇa, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, is the prime protector of brahminical culture and the cow. Without knowing and respecting these, one cannot realize the science of God, and without this knowledge, any welfare activities or humanitarian propaganda cannot be successful.”
